Kim Kohlmann, a London-based artist, brings a wealth of experience and expertise into the studio and stage.
Born in Amsterdam and shaped by her upbringing in Honduras, France, and the Netherlands, Kim's global perspective infuses her artistry with depth and richness. A graduate of Codarts, Rotterdam, Kim's journey led her to continue her career in the Netherlands with Dansgroep Amsterdam and Noord Nederlandse Dans before moving to the UK to join the acclaimed Hofesh Shechter Company, where she danced for over seven transformative years. During her tenure, Kim performed and created work with choreographers from around the world, including Hofesh Shechter, Emanuel Gat, Stephen Shropshire, Itzik Galili, Krisztina de Châtel, Roy Assaf, Andrea Miller, and others. She also collaborated in creating a duet that toured in England and was presented through 'In Good Company.'
Kim became a freelance artist in 2019 and regularly assists and stages pieces for Hofesh Shechter while occasionally teaching professional companies and performing in project-based companies. She has helped set the work of Hofesh Shechter on companies such as GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, Nederlands Dans Theater, Martha Graham Company, Paris Opera Ballet, and Ballet Basel.
She collaborated with Jasmine Ellis Projects for 'Skin Hunger' as a dancer, and as a rehearsal director for 'Reality Warping.' She will join the team again for 'Everything Wrong with Me' in 2024.
